  1. Will this work in my province/state? Are there code restrictions?

Building codes vary by region — some jurisdictions require a licensed electrician for line-voltage thermostat installation, and some require double-pole thermostats for baseboard circuits. Check your local code, or see Wiring Requirements for the single-pole/double-pole note. When in doubt, consult a licensed electrician.

  1. Does it work in older homes with older wiring?

Mysa works with standard line-voltage wiring regardless of the home's age, as long as the wire count and gauge meet the requirements in Wiring Requirements. Older homes are more likely to have only two wires at the thermostat location — see When You Only Have 2 Wires if that's the case.

  1. Which Baseboard model should I buy — Gen3, V2, or Lite?

  1. Is my heating system compatible?

Mysa for Baseboards is designed for high-voltage / line-voltage resistive heating, such as electric baseboards, convectors, fan-forced heaters, and radiant ceiling heating. For a quick check, see Compatibility Quick Check, Compatible Heater Types, and Incompatible Systems.

  1. Do I need Wi‑Fi or a hub?

Mysa for Baseboards needs a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network for setup, schedules, remote control, geofencing, and smart home control. It does not need a Mysa hub or bridge. For full app, phone, Wi‑Fi, and smart home requirements, see App & Connectivity Requirements.

  1. What's the warranty?

Mysa for Baseboards comes with a 2-year warranty. See Mysa Warranty Policy for coverage details and how to make a claim.

  1. What's the return/exchange policy if it turns out to be incompatible?

  1. Can I use it with a heat pump or mini-split?

No — Mysa for Baseboards is designed for line-voltage resistive heating and isn't compatible with heat pumps or mini-splits. For those systems, check out Mysa for Mini-Splits Overview.

  1. Do I need one Mysa per heater, or can one control several?

  1. Is professional installation available, or is it DIY only?
