Mysa Baseboard 3: Electrical ratings and breaker size

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Mysa Baseboard 3 is rated for 4000 W at 240 V or 2000 W at 120 V (about 16.7 A). It can be installed on a breaker up to 30 A. 10 AWG wire is OK.

This is line-voltage equipment. Turn the circuit breaker off and confirm power is off before you touch any wiring. Do not work on live circuits. If you are not comfortable with electrical work, hire a licensed electrician.

Do not mix these limits with older baseboard models

Mysa for Baseboards V1, V2, and Lite are rated 3800 W at 240 V / 1900 W at 120 V and belong on 15-20 A circuits. Do not install V1, V2, or Lite on a 30 A circuit.

If the circuit is 30 A, you need Baseboard 3 (or another device rated for that circuit). If you have an older Mysa, keep it on a 15-20 A circuit within its wattage limit.

Multiple heaters on one thermostat

You can control more than one heater from one Baseboard 3 if they are on the same circuit and the combined wattage stays within the table above. Add up every heater on that circuit, not just the one next to the thermostat.

Before you install

  1. Turn the breaker off. Confirm the circuit is dead.

  2. Check the heater nameplate wattage and the breaker size.

  3. Confirm the combined load is at or under 4000 W (240 V) or 2000 W (120 V).

  4. Use a licensed electrician if the breaker, wire size, or load is unclear.
