You can likely install it yourself if:

• You're comfortable turning off power at the breaker and testing that it's off before touching any wires

• Your existing thermostat already has 4+ wires (two bundles) in the gang box

• You're simply replacing an existing line-voltage thermostat with the same wiring layout

• You have basic tools: a Phillips screwdriver, wire strippers, pliers, and ideally a voltage tester

The Mysa app walks you through wiring, mounting, and pairing step by step, and most installs take 15–20 minutes.

You should hire a licensed electrician if:

• You're not fully comfortable working with high-voltage (120V/240V) wiring
