Mysa HomesUpdated 10 months ago

While our app does not impose a strict limit on the number of Homes you can create, for optimal performance, we suggest limiting yourself to no more than 10 Homes. Additionally, we recommend a maximum of 50 Mysa devices per Home to maintain smooth and efficient app operation.

How to create, edit, and deleting a Home?

One significant feature is the Multi-Home feature. With this feature, we are giving the user a better way to further group buildings, at a Home level. This is the highest level of grouping, and gives you the ability to create and manage separate Schedules, Geofencing, and Shared Access for each Home.

Creating a Home

To do this simply follow the steps below:

  1. Select Manage Mysa Homes in the Navigation Menu

  2. Click Create New Home

  3. Name the Home

  4. Choose your settings now or wait until later

The Mysa App allows you to have a maximum of ten homes.

Editing a Home

At any time you can navigate to Manage Homes and review the current settings of the Home.

Simply select the setting you wish to change and update the settings:

  • Home Name: You can rename your home at any time!

  • Share Access: For details on how to set this up, go here.

  • Geofencing: For details on how to set this up, go here.

  • Shortcuts: For details on how to set this up, go here.

  • Smart Alerts: This is where you can set whether or not, to send alerts for leaving or entering your geofence boundary or Reminder for filter cleaning for your mini-split.

  • Primary Home Setting: This is the Home and devices that show up within the Mysa App when launched.

  • Add Thermostat: This takes you through adding a device to the App.

Moving Thermostats between Homes

The Mysa App has the ability to add multiple Homes. With the added ability to control each Home as separate entities it is important that all thermostats are connected to the correct property.

This functionality makes it easy to move a thermostat between Homes in the case that a device is accidentally added to the incorrect location.

To do this simply follow the steps below:

1. Select the thermostat you wish to transfer

2. Navigate to the settings of the thermostat

3. Scroll down to Advanced - Mysa Homes

4. Select the current Home, and choose the Home you wish to transfer this device to.

5. To complete the transfer, simply accept that this is the action you wish to complete!

This thermostat will now be under your new Home.

Deleting a Home

To do this simply follow the steps below:

  1. Select Manage Mysa Homes in the Navigation Menu

  2. Click on the Home you want to delete

  3. Click remove Home

Caution: This will delete any thermostats within that home, requiring you to pair them again.

Deleting a Thermostat as a Homeowner

When you, the homeowner, choose to delete a thermostat from your Home within the app, the device will be removed from your account and consequently from the access of anyone who has shared access to that Home. This action directly impacts the control and monitoring capabilities of all users associated with that Home.

Shared User Deleting a Thermostat

If a shared user decides to delete a thermostat from their account, the deletion affects only their unique login. As the homeowner, you retain full access and control over the thermostat. This feature ensures that the primary control remains unaffected by changes made by shared users.

Troubleshooting Missing Thermostats

If you find yourself unable to see your thermostat in the app, consider the following steps:

  1. Check for Multiple Homes: The updated app may prompt users to create or assign devices to a Home. It's possible your thermostat is assigned to a different Home than the one you're currently viewing. Navigate through any other Homes you have set up in the app to locate your thermostat.

  2. Reassign Thermostat: If you discover your thermostat under a different Home, and you wish to consolidate or manage your devices under one primary Home, you can follow the previously outlined steps to delete the unnecessary Home or move thermostats between Homes.

  3. Deleting an Unwanted Home: Should your thermostats appear under an unintended Home, you can remove this Home once you've moved your devices to the correct one. This step helps maintain an organized and efficient control structure within your app, ensuring easy access to all your thermostats.
