Quick Checklist — Is Mysa for Central HVAC Right for You?
You’re ready for Mysa for Central HVAC if you have:
A central HVAC system with 24-volt thermostat wiring
Furnace, boiler + air handler, or heat pump
A C (common) wire or a system where you can install Mysa’s C-Wire Adapter
A smartphone that can run the Mysa app (iOS or Android)
Pro Tip: Take a quick photo of your existing thermostat wiring — it’s the easiest way to confirm compatibility.
Check Before Buying
1. Do You Have a C (Common) Wire?
Mysa for Central HVAC requires a constant 24 V power source via a C-wire.
If your current thermostat doesn’t have one, Mysa offers a C-Wire Adapter (CWA) that connects near your furnace or control board.
No advanced wiring knowledge required — the Mysa app and guides show you exactly how to install it.
Tip: If you’re unsure, take a photo of your current thermostat’s wiring and share it with Mysa Support — they’ll confirm compatibility.
2. Is Your Existing Thermostat Line-Voltage or Communicating?
Mysa for Central HVAC is not compatible with:
Line-voltage systems (120/240 V baseboards or in-floor electric)
Millivolt systems (older fireplaces)
Proprietary communicating thermostats used in some HVAC brands
If your old thermostat has thick wires with wire nuts or says “120V” or “240V,” it’s line-voltage — not compatible with Mysa for Central HVAC.
Compatible: Thin low-voltage wires, usually labeled R, C, Y, W, G, or O/B.
