Mysa for Central HVAC is designed for 24-V systems, including:

  • Furnaces and air handlers

  • Boilers or radiant systems

  • Heat pumps (with or without auxiliary heat)

  • Fan-coil and PTAC units

It supports multi-stage heating and cooling as well as multi-speed fan control when your system wiring provides those signals.

  • Line-voltage systems (baseboards, in-floor electric)

  • Proprietary communicating thermostats

Smart-Home Friendly

Built Matter-first (Coming Soon), Mysa for Central HVAC works with all major smart-home ecosystems:

  • Apple Home

  • Google Home

  • Amazon Alexa

After setup, you can control your comfort by app, automation, or voice — all while keeping Mysa’s app-first precision.

App-Guided Setup

The Mysa app leads you step-by-step through:

  • Bluetooth pairing

  • HVAC configuration and Installation

  • Optional C-Wire Adapter (CWA) setup

Most homeowners can complete installation and configuration in under 30 minutes.

Quick Checklist — Is Mysa for Central HVAC Right for You?

You’re ready for Mysa for Central HVAC if you have:

  • A central HVAC system with 24-volt thermostat wiring

  • Furnace, boiler + air handler, or heat pump

  • A C (common) wire or a system where you can install Mysa’s C-Wire Adapter

  • A smartphone that can run the Mysa app (iOS or Android)

Pro Tip: Take a quick photo of your existing thermostat wiring — it’s the easiest way to confirm compatibility.

Check Before Buying

1. Do You Have a C (Common) Wire?

Mysa for Central HVAC requires a constant 24 V power source via a C-wire.

If your current thermostat doesn’t have one, Mysa offers a C-Wire Adapter (CWA) that connects near your furnace or control board.

No advanced wiring knowledge required — the Mysa app and guides show you exactly how to install it.

Tip: If you’re unsure, take a photo of your current thermostat’s wiring and share it with Mysa Support — they’ll confirm compatibility.

2. Is Your Existing Thermostat Line-Voltage or Communicating?

Mysa for Central HVAC is not compatible with:

  • Line-voltage systems (120/240 V baseboards or in-floor electric)

  • Millivolt systems (older fireplaces)

  • Proprietary communicating thermostats used in some HVAC brands

If your old thermostat has thick wires with wire nuts or says “120V” or “240V,” it’s line-voltage — not compatible with Mysa for Central HVAC.

Compatible: Thin low-voltage wires, usually labeled R, C, Y, W, G, or O/B.

What to Expect After Purchase

Guided App Setup

Once installed, the Mysa app automatically detects your thermostat, guides you through configuration, and walks you through setup step by step.

You’ll complete:

  • Pairing

  • Wiring confirmation and installation

  • Optional C-Wire Adapter setup

Matter Integration (Coming Soon)

After setup, your Matter pairing code appears in the Mysa app. Use it to add Mysa for Central HVAC to:

  • Apple Home

  • Google Home

  • Amazon Alexa

You’ll then be able to create automations and control comfort using your preferred platform.

Pro Tip: Once connected through Matter, you can still use the Mysa app for advanced insights and configuration.

Quick Visual Tip

If you’re unsure about compatibility, take a photo of your existing thermostat wiring before removing anything.
Share that photo with Mysa Support — they’ll confirm compatibility and whether you need the C-Wire Adapter.
