Pairing Your Mysa for Central HVACUpdated 6 days ago

Before pairing, make sure the following is ready:

✅ Your Mysa for Central HVAC thermostat is powered on and the display is active.
✅ Your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on.
✅ You have the latest version of the Mysa app installed from the App Store or Google Play.
✅ Your phone is within 1–2 meters (3–6 feet) of the thermostat.

If it’s powered but not configured, continue — the Mysa app will guide you through pairing and setup.


Step-by-Step: Pairing Your Mysa for Central HVAC

Bluetooth pairing allows your phone to securely connect to your thermostat for setup.
Mysa’s pairing process is designed to complete in a single attempt — quick, reliable, and secure.


1. Open the Mysa App

Launch the Mysa app on your smartphone and sign in to your account.
If you don’t have an account yet, create one — it only takes a minute.


2. Add Your Thermostat

From the main menu, tap Add Mysa.

Select Mysa for Central HVAC Smart Thermostat from the product list.

Follow the on-screen instructions to start pairing.

  • Select No, for Is the Mysa Installed and Powered On to complete configuration in the app.

  • Select Bluetooth Pairing

  • The app will prompt you to enable Bluetooth access (if not already on).

  • Grant permission to continue.


3. Connect and Confirm

  • Tap Next while standing in front of your Mysa

  • Select Identify to ensure you have selected the correct Mysa device

  • Accept the Pairing Notification

  • Proceed to Name Your Thermostat

  • Select your WiFi and add credentials

  • Once connected, wait for any automatic updates

  • If the update fails, this can be skipped and completed at a later time.


4. Final Touches

Once pairing is complete, you’ll see a success message in the app.

If you wish to adjust any advanced settings, you can do so now.
Your thermostat’s display will show a short confirmation animation or icon.


Automatic Firmware Updates

Once paired, your Mysa for Central HVAC will check for the latest firmware.
You may see a message like “Updating Thermostat Firmware” or a progress bar in the app.

This step ensures your device is up to date with the latest features and stability improvements.

During firmware updates:

  • Keep your thermostat powered on

  • Do not close the Mysa app

  • The update may take several minutes

Once complete, your thermostat will restart automatically, and the app will confirm “Firmware Update Complete.”


Common Pairing Issues & Fixes

If pairing doesn’t complete on the first try, don’t worry — most issues are quick to fix.


Thermostat Not Appearing in the App

  • Move your phone closer (within 1–2 meters) of the thermostat

  • Toggle Bluetooth off and on again on your phone

  • Close and reopen the Mysa app

  • Ensure your thermostat display is on and not already paired to another phone

Firmware Prompt Stuck or Not Starting

Wait a few minutes — some updates take time to begin.

If stuck for over 5 minutes:

  • Postpone the firmware update via the pop-up and try again later.


Pairing Fails Repeatedly

If the app fails to connect several times:

  • Close the app completely and reopen it

  • Ensure no other Bluetooth devices are trying to connect

  • Power cycle your thermostat:

    • Turn power off at the breaker for 10 seconds

    • Turn back on

  • Re-enter pairing mode on Mysa for Central HVAC by holding both the up and down arrows

🔁 Re-pair vs. Resume:
If you already started pairing but it failed mid-process, reopen the app — it will detect incomplete setup and guide you to resume pairing instead of starting from scratch.


What Success Looks Like

Once pairing and any firmware updates are complete, your Mysa for Central HVAC is fully connected via WiFi and will have received the configuration code.

You’ll see:

  • A new Mysa for Central HVAC tile on your app’s home screen

  • The current room temperature and setpoint displayed

  • The app status shows “Online”
