Apple Home Can’t Find or Control Mysa

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Use this guide when the Apple Home app cannot find a Mysa thermostat, Siri commands do not work, or Mysa shows No Response.

Applies to: native Apple Home (HomeKit) for Mysa for Baseboards (V1, V2, and Lite), Mysa for In-Floor Heating, and Mysa for Mini-Splits. Mysa Smart Thermostat uses Matter — use the Matter / Apple Home pairing guide for that product, not these native HomeKit steps.

Before you start

  • Open the Mysa app and confirm the thermostat is online. Apple Home cannot control a thermostat that is offline. Fix Wi-Fi first if it is offline.
  • Pair the thermostat to the Mysa app first. That is required for Mini-Splits (remote codes). For Baseboard and In-Floor it is strongly recommended so you still get firmware updates and diagnostics.
  • Put your iPhone or iPad on the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network as the thermostat. Guest networks, VPNs, and a different mesh band often block pairing.
  • Turn on Bluetooth on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Confirm you are adding the accessory to the correct Home in the Apple Home app.

Add Mysa to Apple Home

Try the Mysa app path first if scanning from Apple Home fails.

From the Mysa app

  1. Open the Mysa app and select the thermostat.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Apple HomeKit (or HomeKit).
  4. Tap Add to HomeKit and follow the prompts.
  5. Assign the thermostat to a room.

From the Apple Home app

  1. Open the Apple Home app.
  2. Tap + then Add Accessory.
  3. Scan the HomeKit code. If the camera fails, tap More options, choose that the accessory is not shown, then Enter setup code.

Find the setup code on the box sticker, on a label on the device, or in the Mysa app under Settings → HomeKit. Enter it exactly. Mini-Split also supports holding an iPhone near the controller for NFC pairing.

Apple Home still can’t find Mysa

  1. Force-close the Mysa app and the Home app, then reopen both.
  2. Retry Add to HomeKit from the Mysa app.
  3. If Apple says the accessory is already added, it is still in another Home or Apple Account (including a previous owner). Remove it there first. Then on the thermostat, hold the up and down arrows until the countdown finishes, and add it again.
  4. Confirm the thermostat still shows online in the Mysa app, then retry on the same Wi-Fi network.

Mysa shows “No Response”

  1. Check that the thermostat is still online in the Mysa app. If it is offline, reconnect Wi-Fi first.
  2. In Home settings, confirm a home hub is online (HomePod or Apple TV). Unplug the hub for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. iPad is no longer supported as a Home Hub.
  3. Power cycle the thermostat at the breaker (off 30 seconds, then on).
  4. If you recently re-paired the thermostat in the Mysa app or changed Wi-Fi, remove it from Apple Home and add it again with a fresh setup code. Re-pairing often drops HomeKit.
  5. If it still shows No Response, remove the accessory from Apple Home and add it again.

Remote access and automations need a home hub that stays powered and signed in to the same Apple Account. On newer iOS you can pair and control locally without a hub; control from away still needs one.

Siri commands do not work

  • Use the exact room name assigned in Apple Home, not the Mysa device name.
  • Try: “Hey Siri, set the [room name] to [temperature].”
  • Confirm the thermostat still responds in the Mysa app.
  • If only a scene or automation fails, test a direct Siri command first.
  • Mini-Split: a few seconds of delay is normal because commands go over infrared.

Automations do not run

If manual changes in Apple Home work but automations do not, see HomeKit Automations Not Working. Whole-number target temperatures can stop automations from firing on some models. Try a half-degree value such as 22.5°C.

Mini-Split tile shows missing temperature

If Apple Home shows --° or a blank temperature but the thermostat still responds, that is usually an Apple Home status sync issue. Remove and re-add the accessory, restart the home hub, and power-cycle Mysa. If control still works and the tile stays blank, contact support with screenshots — it can be a known display issue, not a dead controller.

Mysa Smart Thermostat (Matter)

Do not use native HomeKit scanning for Mysa Smart Thermostat. Get a Matter pairing code in the Mysa app: menu → Home Assistants → select the thermostat. The phone, thermostat, and hub must be on the same network (not guest Wi-Fi). Each Matter code can be used once per platform.

Still not working?

Email support@getmysa.com with the thermostat model, the exact message in the Apple Home app, whether the thermostat is online in the Mysa app, iOS version, and whether you have a HomePod or Apple TV hub.
