Thermostat Not Appearing During Pairing
Last updated: October 28, 2026
If your Mysa for Electric Baseboard Heaters does not show in the Mysa app when you pair it, do these steps.
Do these steps first
- Stand in front of your Mysa.
- On your phone, turn off Bluetooth. Then turn on Bluetooth again. Gen3, V2 and Lite pair with Bluetooth.
- Close the Mysa app. Then open the Mysa app and try again.
- Make sure that Mysa is in pairing mode. Gen3, V2 and Lite show the Bluetooth symbol. V1 shows the Wi-Fi symbol. If the screen does not show the pairing icon, refer to "Start pairing mode again".
Start pairing mode again
To start pairing mode again, reset Mysa:
- V2, Lite and V1: Hold the up arrow and the down arrow for 10 seconds. Mysa removes its Wi-Fi, its Apple Home (HomeKit) pairing, its schedule and its settings. Then you must set up Mysa again in the Mysa app.
- Gen3: Hold the up arrow and the down arrow until the countdown on the screen ends. Gen3 resets its Wi-Fi and removes all its smart home (Matter) connections. Then set up Gen3 again in the Mysa app, and add it to your smart home app again.
Used Mysa
The app can show Can Not Pair This Mysa. This message tells you that the Mysa is on the account of a different user. Ask the previous owner to remove the Mysa from their account. Or send an email to support@getmysa.com with a photo of the serial number. The serial number is behind the front plate. Refer to Ownership Transfer for a Used Thermostat.
Before you remove the front plate, turn off the circuit breaker. Make sure that the power is off.
If Mysa does not show
Refer to Pairing Fails Repeatedly.
