Pairing Fails Repeatedly
Last updated: October 28, 2026
If pairing fails again and again, do these steps in sequence.
Steps
- Connect your phone to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Mysa connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. Mysa does not connect to 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
- Copy the Wi-Fi network name and the password from the Wi-Fi settings on your phone. Paste them in the Mysa app. This prevents typing errors.
- Close the Mysa app fully. Do not only minimize the app.
- Reset Mysa to start pairing again:
- V2, Lite and V1: Hold the up arrow and the down arrow for 10 seconds. Mysa removes its Wi-Fi, its Apple Home (HomeKit) pairing, its schedule and its settings. Then you must set up Mysa again in the Mysa app.
- Gen3: Hold the up arrow and the down arrow until the countdown on the screen ends. Gen3 resets its Wi-Fi and removes all its smart home (Matter) connections. Then set up Gen3 again in the Mysa app, and add it to your smart home app again.
- Wait for the pairing icon on the screen. Gen3, V2 and Lite show the Bluetooth symbol. V1 shows the Wi-Fi symbol.
- Open the Mysa app. Tap +, then tap Add a Mysa.
If pairing fails again
- Restart your phone and your router.
- Do a hard reboot of Mysa: Turn off the circuit breaker. Wait 30 seconds. Then turn on the circuit breaker.
- Do the steps again.
