Mysa Baseboard 3: Smart Early-On
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Smart Early-On on Baseboard 3 is not the 30-minute Early On toggle on V1/V2 (that lives in the schedule ⋮ menu, and it is not on BB3).
On Baseboard 3, Smart Early-On is under Device Settings → Thermostat Preferences. It only becomes tappable after a schedule is set. It can stay off during Demand Response. If you don’t see it there, screenshot Thermostat Preferences and the app version.
Pairing Final Touches no longer shows Smart Early-On (removed in PR 3100). The live help.getmysa.com Smart Early-On article is still HVAC-only (May 6). This draft is the Baseboard 3 version.
What it does
Cloud Smart Early-On starts heating before a scheduled setpoint so the room is closer to the target at the scheduled time. Learning takes time. The starting point is always an estimated amount of time early, then it adjusts.
This is the cloud feature. The older on-device Early On control is hidden on Baseboard 3.
Which products have it
Mysa Baseboard 3 (hardware BB-V3-0). Product config advertises
cloudEarlyOn: true.Mysa Smart Thermostat / central HVAC (hardware ST-V1-0)
It is not on Baseboard V1, Baseboard V2 / V2 Plus, or Baseboard Lite.
What you need in the app
Open Device Settings → Thermostat Preferences (not the V1/V2 schedule menu).
A schedule must be set before the toggle is tappable. If there is no schedule, the app tells you to add one.
The toggle can stay off / blocked during Demand Response, and it is blocked in AUTO.
Baseboard 3 beta / Alpha
On Baseboard 3, the app only shows Smart Early-On when both of these are on:
The BB3 Smart Early-On access flag (
BB3_SMART_EARLY_ON_ACCESS). Default is off (Alpha).Cloud Early-On (
features.smart.cloudEarlyOn).
If a Baseboard 3 user cannot see it under Thermostat Preferences, confirm the device is actually BB-V3-0, ask for a Preferences screenshot plus app version, and check those flags before treating it as a bug. Do not assume every beta unit has the toggle.
If the toggle is missing or greyed out
Confirm they looked in Device Settings → Thermostat Preferences, not the V1/V2 schedule ⋮ menu.
Confirm product: Baseboard 3, not V1 / V2 / Lite.
Confirm a schedule exists (not AUTO-only).
Confirm the home is not in a Demand Response event.
For beta: confirm the BB3 Smart Early-On access flag is on.
If still missing: screenshot Thermostat Preferences + app version.
