Using Hardware Lockout Options on Mysa Baseboard 3
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Hardware Lockout Options control what can be changed directly from a Mysa Baseboard 3 thermostat. Use them when you want to prevent or limit on-device changes while continuing to manage the thermostat from the Mysa app.
How this differs from older Baseboard models
Baseboard 3: Uses Hardware Lockout Options.
V1, V2, and Lite: Use the older Button Lock and hardware setpoint-limit controls.
Do not follow V1, V2, or Lite Button Lock instructions for Baseboard 3.
Choose the access level
Open Hardware Lockout Options for the Baseboard 3 thermostat in the Mysa app. Choose whether the thermostat should allow full on-device control or limit what can be changed from the thermostat itself.
App control remains available. Hardware Lockout Options apply to changes made at the thermostat. Use the Mysa app to manage the device and change the lockout setting.
If Hardware Lockout Options are missing
Confirm the selected thermostat is Mysa Baseboard 3 (model MYSA BB V3-0).
Update the Mysa app.
Confirm the thermostat is online, then close and reopen its settings.
If the setting is still missing, contact support@getmysa.com with the thermostat model, firmware version, and Mysa app version.
