Runtime Doesn’t Match My Utility Bill

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Runtime, kWh, and the utility bill are three different numbers. They will not match exactly.

  • Runtime — how long heat or cool ran. Weather, setpoint, open doors, and dirty filters change it.

  • kWh — measured energy on compatible baseboard V2/V1 thermostats only.

  • Utility bill — whole-home electricity (lights, appliances, water heating, EV charger), not only Mysa-controlled heaters.

The bill includes everything in the house. A Mysa chart will not equal the full statement. Mini-split Insights do not measure consumption. Lite has no kWh.

Compare similar weather days on the Energy / Insights charts after you change a schedule. If runtime dropped but the bill did not, look at the rest of the home’s use or a colder billing period.
