Will Mysa work with my heating and wiring?
Mysa for Electric Baseboard Heaters is built for high-voltage (120–240VAC) electric baseboard heaters, fan-forced heaters, convectors and radiant ceiling heating, up to 16.7A (4,000W). It needs at least four wires in the electrical box. If only two wires are present, rewiring may be required. Check compatibility before ordering, or contact Mysa Support with a photo of your existing wiring.
When will my order arrive?
Orders ship in 1–2 business days, and most orders in B.C. are delivered within one week.
How do I set up my thermostats?
Many customers install Mysa in about 15 minutes using the step-by-step guide in the Mysa app. Always turn off power at the circuit breaker before starting. If you aren't comfortable working with high-voltage wiring, the wiring differs from the instructions, or local rules require it, hire a licensed electrician.
Once installed, pair your new Mysa in the Mysa app. Your Peak Saver enrollment completes when you pair your new Mysa in the Mysa app.
What is Peak Saver?
Peak Saver is a BC Hydro program that helps manage electricity demand during peak periods, usually very cold mornings or evenings.
- The winter season runs from November 1 to March 31.
- During a peak event, BC Hydro may lower your Mysa's setpoint by up to 3°C for no more than 4 hours. Your home may be pre-heated by about 2°C first.
- There may be up to two events in one day, and events aren't scheduled on Christmas Day.
- You don't need to do anything. When an event ends, your Mysa returns to its normal settings.
Am I still in control?
Yes. Peak Saver never takes thermostat control away from you. Change the temperature on the thermostat or in the Mysa app during an event and it takes effect right away. If you opt out of more than 50% of a season's events, you may not be eligible for that season's reward.
Is there a reward?
Yes. If you stay enrolled and take part in at least half of the season's events, you'll receive a $50 BC Hydro bill credit each winter. Seasonal reward payouts take place from April to June.
Is there any cost or subscription?
No. Eligible customers check out at $0 with free shipping. The Mysa app is free, all features are included, and there's no subscription or app fee. Each thermostat is backed by a 5-year limited hardware warranty plus a lifetime of security and software updates.
