Testing the GFCI Monthly

Test your GFCI protection monthly to ensure proper operation:

  1. Verify the trip indicator light is off (if on, press Reset)
  2. Turn the heater to maximum temperature and wait 10 minutes
  3. Press the Test button
  4. Verify the trip indicator illuminates
  5. Wait 5–10 minutes to confirm the floor heater cools
  6. Press the Reset button to end the test

Tip Set a monthly reminder to test your GFCI. Regular testing ensures the safety circuit is functioning properly.
