Can’t See Shared Thermostats

Last updated: August 25, 2026

If someone invited you and the thermostats are missing, you are usually on the wrong login, looking at the wrong Home, or the invite was never accepted on that email. Sharing does not pick individual thermostats — the whole Home is shared.

Wrong login or wrong Home

  1. Sign in with the same email the owner used on the invite. A second Mysa account (work vs personal) will not show the shared Home.

  2. On the home screen, tap the Home name at the top and select the shared Home. Shared Homes appear in that list after you accept.

  3. If you have not accepted yet, open the invite email or the Mysa app on that login. Existing Mysa users also get an in-app notification.

Owner checks

  1. Open Manage Mysa Homes > [Home] > Share Access (or Account > Sharing) and confirm that person is listed. If they are missing, send the invite again to the email they actually use.

  2. Confirm you shared the Home that has the thermostats. Sharing is all-or-nothing for that Home on app version 4 and later — you cannot share one thermostat and hide the rest.

  3. If a device used to appear and now does not, check whether you removed it, moved it to another Home, or removed that person’s access.

If the thermostat was never yours

A used thermostat or a house with Mysa already installed stays on the previous owner’s account until they remove it or support completes an ownership transfer. Sharing invites cannot take the device over. See Sharing Won’t Transfer a Used Thermostat.

If you still cannot resolve it, email support@getmysa.com with both email addresses and the Home name.
