Thermostat Display Settings
Thermostat Display Settings
Control how your Mysa Smart Thermostat's display looks and behaves—adjust brightness levels and lock the buttons to prevent unwanted adjustments.
To access display settings, tap the thermostat from your home screen, then tap the Settings icon (bottom right) > Thermostat Display.
Brightness Settings
Two sliders control display brightness:
- Sleep — Brightness when the thermostat is idle
- Wake — Brightness when you interact with your Mysa physically or through the app
Note "Sleep" and "Wake" refer to the thermostat's display state, not your schedule or daily routine. Sleep brightness is active whenever you're not interacting with the device.
Tip Want the display completely off at night? Set sleep brightness to 0%. You can keep Wake on Approach enabled so the display turns on briefly when you walk by, then returns to off.
Adaptive Brightness
Automatically adjusts display brightness based on room luminosity—if the room is dark, the display dims accordingly. This setting only affects the thermostat hardware, not the Mysa app.
Wake on Approach
The display wakes to your active brightness when you approach the thermostat—no need to tap first. This setting only affects the thermostat hardware, not the Mysa app.
Button Lock
Prevents changing the setpoint temperature and mode from the thermostat itself. Choose Unlocked or Locked.
When locked, adjustments can only be made from the Mysa app—useful for rental properties, shared spaces, or homes with curious children.
Note Button Lock only affects the physical thermostat controls. It does not limit how high or low the temperature can be set. To set min/max temperature limits for the device, see Hardware Setpoint Limits under Thermostat Preferences.
Tip Button lock is great for short-term rentals—guests can see the temperature but can't override your settings.
