Device Hardware Guide
This guide covers how to use your Mysa for Baseboards, including the display, controls, and manual operation.
Display
Your Mysa displays the current room temperature at all times. When you adjust the temperature, it briefly shows the setpoint before returning to the room temperature.
The display does not show Wi-Fi status, heating mode, or other indicators during normal operation.
Pairing Mode Icons
When in pairing mode, the display shows:
- V2 and Lite: Bluetooth symbol
- V1: Wi-Fi symbol (upside down triangle)
Controls by Version
V2
- Touch controls — Tap the illuminated up/down areas to adjust temperature
- Ambient light sensor — Automatically adjusts display brightness based on room lighting
- Proximity sensor — Display wakes when you approach (wake-on-approach)
Lite
- Physical buttons — Press the up/down buttons to adjust temperature
- No sensors — Brightness is set manually through the app
V1 (Legacy)
- Touch controls — Tap the illuminated up/down areas to adjust temperature
- No sensors — Brightness is set manually through the app
Manual Control Without Wi-Fi
Your Mysa works as a thermostat even without Wi-Fi. You can adjust the temperature directly on the device at any time.
To adjust temperature: Press or tap the up/down controls. The setpoint displays briefly, then reverts to the current room temperature.
To turn off heating: Hold the down control until three blinking dashes appear. The thermostat is now off and won't heat until you turn it back on.
To turn heating back on: Press either the up or down control.
Switching Between Celsius and Fahrenheit
You can change the temperature unit in the Mysa app under thermostat settings.
To change it directly on the device:
- Hold the down control until "RT" appears, then release
- While the thermostat reboots (showing a smiley face), hold the down control
- The unit will swap — Celsius to Fahrenheit, or Fahrenheit to Celsius
The setting stays until you change it again.
Brightness Settings
V2
V2 has adaptive brightness that adjusts automatically based on room lighting. It also has wake-on-approach — the display brightens when you walk up to it.
You can adjust brightness levels in the Mysa app under thermostat settings.
Lite and V1
Lite and V1 do not have adaptive brightness. Set the brightness manually through the Mysa app.
Rebooting Your Thermostat
Soft Reboot
Hold the up and down controls together for 10 seconds. The thermostat will restart.
Use this for minor issues like a frozen display or temporary glitch.
Hard Reboot
Turn off the circuit breaker that powers your thermostat. Wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
Use this for persistent issues or when a soft reboot doesn't help.
