Unresponsive or blank Mysa ThermostatUpdated 10 months ago
Unresponsive to touch
If the thermostat is unresponsive to touch and or commands, there are a few things you can check:
Make sure the protective plastic film has been removed from the thermostat, as this could interfere with the thermostat's ability to detect touch.
If that didn't work, you can try to Reboot:
For Mysa for Baseboard Heaters and Mysa In-floor, this can be done by
1. Removing the faceplate on your Mysa. Follow the steps below:
Unscrew the faceplate - there’s a small screw at the bottom of your Mysa.
Carefully slide off the faceplate.
Keep it unattached for 5-10 minutes.
Carefully reattach the faceplate. Be careful not to bend the pins that connect it to the base of your Mysa!
Your Mysa will take a few seconds to reboot.
2. Flipping the breaker controlling your Mysa OFF, waiting around 30 seconds, and flipping it back ON.
Warning! High Voltage!!
Any work with high voltage equipment can be dangerous or even fatal if you do not take proper precautions. You should never work with live wires.
Your Mysa will take a few seconds to reboot.
3. The last thing you can do is to make sure the ground wire is securely fastened to the ground screw in the gang box as this can sometimes cause the touch buttons to malfunction.
For Mysa AC, you can unplug the unit and plug it back.
Blank thermostat
Encountering a blank display on your Mysa Thermostat can be concerning, but often it's a problem that can be resolved through simple troubleshooting steps.
This guide will walk you through the process of diagnosing and fixing the issue.
Initial Check: The Green Light Indicator
Observation: Check if there is a green light visible once you remove the faceplate of the Mysa thermostat.
Green Light: Please try removing the faceplate for a couple of minutes and put it back on to see if it helps.
If it doesn't help, please contact Mysa Support as soon as possible for additional assistance.

No Green Light: If you don't see a green light, proceed with the following troubleshooting steps.
1. Inspect the Wiring
Tight Connections: Ensure all wires behind the Mysa are securely connected under the wire nuts.- Circuit Breaker Check: If other thermostats are on the same circuit breaker, verify their connections too, as loose wiring can affect power delivery.
2. Address Potential Loose Connections
- Expansion and Contraction: Wires can loosen over time due to temperature changes causing them to expand and contract.
- Physical Check: Gently tug on each wire to ensure a secure connection, even if they appear tight visually.
3. Investigate Issues with Multiple Thermostats
- Interconnected Impact: If you have multiple Mysas on the same circuit, incorrect installation of one can impact others.
- Testing Method:
- Increase the temperature on functioning Mysas to call for heat.
- Observe if the non-working unit activates.
- Reduce the temperature on the working units to cease heat demand.
- Note if the non-working unit deactivates accordingly.
Indication: This pattern suggests a wiring issue related to the power supply of of one of the functioning unit
4. Power Cycle the Thermostat
- Circuit Breaker Reset: Turn off the circuit breaker that powers the Mysa, wait a moment, and then turn it back on.
- Observe: Check if the display on the Mysa activates after this reset.
5. Test in a Different Location
- Swap Locations: If feasible, install the thermostat in a different location where another Mysa operates correctly.
- Diagnosis: This helps determine if the issue is with the thermostat itself or its original installation location.
If you are still having issues, please contact Mysa Support as soon as possible for additional assistance.
