Reconnecting Your Mysa Thermostat to Wi-Fi
Experiencing issues with your Mysa thermostat losing its Wi-Fi connection can be frustrating, but don't worry, you can still manage your heating manually and there are straightforward steps to get reconnected.
The Mysa cannot be reconnected if you are not on site. You must be on site or have someone you trust who can go on site and access your Mysa account to go through the pairing process.
Manual Control During Offline Mode
Even when your Mysa thermostat is offline, you can manually adjust your heating using the up or down arrows on the device. This ensures you maintain control over your home's temperature, even without Wi-Fi connectivity.
Steps to Reconnect Your Mysa Thermostat
If your Mysa thermostat has disconnected from your Wi-Fi network, follow these steps to reconnect:
Identify Disconnection Signs: A down arrow or a Bluetooth symbol on your thermostat indicates a Wi-Fi disconnection. An upside-down triangle symbolizes recent disconnection.
Reconnect Through the Mysa App: Open the Mysa App, navigate to the sidebar menu, and select 'Add Thermostat'. Follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect your thermostat to Wi-Fi.
Troubleshooting Connectivity Issues
Should your thermostat frequently disconnect or appear offline in the Mysa App, try these troubleshooting steps:
- Delete and Re-add the Thermostat: Remove the problematic thermostat from both the Mysa App and, for HomeKit users, the Apple HomeKit App.
- Reboot Your Connection Device: Restart the device you use to connect with Mysa.
- Factory Reset the Thermostat: Hold the up and down arrows simultaneously for 10-15 seconds to reset. A smiley face will appear, indicating successful reboot.
- Power Cycle: Turn the thermostat's circuit breaker off and then on again.
- Re-pair the Thermostat: Follow the pairing process again in the Mysa App.
Repeat steps 2-4 if the first attempt doesn't succeed.
Important Note: After disconnection, the thermostat will adhere to the next scheduled event but won't follow subsequent schedules until reconnected.
When You're Away From Home
It's crucial to have physical access to your thermostat for troubleshooting. If you're not home, the thermostat will attempt to reconnect at regular intervals. If it remains offline for an extended period, follow the above steps upon return to re-establish the connection.
By following these guidelines, you should be able to quickly and effectively restore your Mysa thermostat's Wi-Fi connectivity, ensuring continuous, smart temperature control in your home.
