Understanding Your Mysa Thermostat's Temperature Readings

Mysa's Design and Accuracy

  • Advanced Sensors: Mysa integrates advanced sensors to ensure precise temperature control and energy efficiency.
  • Software Updates: We regularly update our software to enhance the accuracy of Mysa thermostats across various environments.

Installation Impact

  • Placement: The location of your Mysa thermostat is crucial. Mounting it too close to a heater can cause it to read higher temperatures due to the proximity to the heat source rather than the actual room temperature.
  • Room Factors: Room size, insulation, and construction can also affect temperature readings. Ensure your thermostat is placed in a location that accurately represents your room's ambient temperature.

Beyond Ambient Temperature

  • Humidity and Electrical Current: Mysa also considers humidity and electrical current. While these factors generally don't skew temperature readings, they can be slightly influenced by surrounding materials.

External Sensors and Measurement

  • Placement of External Sensors: Avoid placing external sensors directly above Mysa, as this can result in inaccurate readings from vented air.
  • Infrared Thermometers: For ambient temperature comparisons, avoid using infrared thermometers as they measure surface temperature, which may not accurately represent the room's ambient temperature.

Troubleshooting:

For Mysa for Baseboard Heaters and Mysa In-floor, this can be done by

  • Reboot your Mysa by following the steps below:

    • Press and hold the down arrow on your Mysa device.

    • Once the device powers down, RT should display on the screen.

    • Release the button, and wait for the device to power back on.

Please note that after rebooting or following the initial installation, Mysa will self-calibrate to the ambient temperature, which typically takes about one hour.

Attention! High voltage!

Working with high-voltage equipment can be dangerous, even deadly, if you don't take the proper precautions. Never work with live wires.

For Mysa AC, this can be done by can simply unplugging the unit and plugging it back in.

Please note that after plugging the unit back in or following the initial installation, Mysa will self-calibrate to the ambient temperature, which typically takes about one hour.
