Does Mysa for In-Floor Heating work with power modules or multiple zones?
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Mysa for In-Floor Heating does not use or include a separate Mysa power module. Each Mysa for In-Floor thermostat is designed to directly control one compatible electric in-floor heating zone within the product load limits.
Multiple zones
If a you have multiple independently controlled in-floor heating zones, the standard setup is to install one compatible Mysa thermostat per zone. The thermostats can then be added to the same Mysa account and controlled from the same Mysa app.
Large zones or third-party power modules
If one zone is too large for a single thermostat, or the existing system uses a third-party power module, relay, or contactor, do not recommend wiring it directly to Mysa unless a qualified electrician confirms the full design is safe and compatible.
Possible options include:
Using a separate Mysa thermostat for each compatible zone.
Having a qualified electrician split or redesign the heating zones so each thermostat stays within Mysa supported voltage and load limits.
Using a properly rated relay or contactor design only if a qualified professional designs and installs it.
For systems converted to low-voltage control, reviewing whether Mysa Smart Thermostat is a better fit than Mysa for In-Floor Heating.
What to ask the customer for
Before confirming compatibility, ask for the heating voltage, total wattage or amperage per zone, the number of independently controlled zones, and photos or model numbers for any existing thermostat, relay, contactor, or power module.
If the customer is unsure, recommend that they consult a qualified electrician or installer before purchasing or wiring Mysa.
