How to Find Your Floor Heating System's Wattage

Last updated: September 2, 2026

You need the wattage and voltage of your floor heating system to confirm Mysa can control it.

Where to look

  1. The label printed on the heating mat or heating cable

  2. The cold lead tag attached to the heating element

  3. The manufacturer's documentation for the system

  4. The label on the heating system's relay panel or junction box

Confirm the voltage too

  • A single-pole breaker (one narrow switch) indicates a 120V circuit

  • A double-pole breaker (two switches joined) indicates a 208V or 240V circuit

  • A voltmeter reading confirms it. If the reading does not match the breaker type, consult a licensed electrician

Write down the wattage and voltage, then compare against Wattage & Amperage Limits — Mysa for In-Floor Heating. Still not sure? Contact support@getmysa.com with your heating system voltage, wattage, and photos of the existing thermostat wiring.
