Do I Need an Electrician to Install Mysa for In-Floor Heating?

Mysa for In-Floor Heating runs on line voltage (120V, 208V, or 240V). Working with line voltage is dangerous and can cause serious injury or death.

You must hire a licensed electrician if

• Your system is 240V, or the breaker is double-pole

• You are not confident reading wiring diagrams or identifying line, load, ground, and neutral

• You are upgrading wiring or modifying the panel

• Local code requires licensed work for thermostat installation

• The design involves a relay, contactor, power module, or a mixed heater setup

A DIY install may be reasonable if all of these are true

• You are comfortable and experienced with electrical work

• The circuit is 120V with a single-pole breaker

• You understand line, load, ground, and neutral

• You have a voltmeter and can verify the circuit voltage

• You will turn off the breaker and confirm the power is off before touching wires

The product documentation states that only qualified electricians should install this thermostat. If you are not trained to work with high-voltage systems, do not attempt it.
