Pre-Installation Checklist — Mysa for Mini-Splits

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Complete this checklist before you plug in or mount Mysa for Mini-Splits. It takes a few minutes and prevents a failed setup.

1. Confirm the original remote is compatible

  • The remote uses infrared (IR), not RF or Bluetooth

  • The display shows the complete state: target temperature, mode, and fan speed

  • You still have the original remote for pairing

If the remote is button-only, temperature-only, RF, Bluetooth, or the system is wired-controller-only, stop and review the compatibility guide.

2. Confirm power and placement

  • A standard wall outlet is within reach of the included cable

  • Mysa will stay plugged in — it does not run on batteries

  • The planned location has an unobstructed infrared path to the indoor unit

  • The location is not behind furniture, plants, or curtains

  • The indoor unit is powered on for the pairing test

3. Confirm app and Wi-Fi

  • The Mysa app is installed

  • You have a Mysa account

  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi reaches the planned location

  • You have the Wi-Fi name and password

  • Bluetooth can be enabled on your phone during pairing

4. Plan one Mysa per indoor head

Each indoor head or room you want to control needs its own Mysa with a clear infrared path.

When the checklist is complete, follow the Installation Overview, then Pairing Your Mysa for Mini-Splits.
