Pre-Installation Checklist — Mysa for Mini-Splits

Complete this checklist before you plug in or mount Mysa for Mini-Splits.

1. Confirm the original remote is compatible

  • The remote uses infrared (IR), not RF or Bluetooth

  • The display shows the complete state: target temperature, mode, and fan speed

  • You still have the original remote for pairing

If it does not pass, review the compatibility guide before continuing.

2. Confirm power, Wi-Fi, and placement will work

You need a standard outlet, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi at the planned location, and a clear infrared path to the indoor unit. See Power & Placement Requirements.

3. Confirm app setup

  • The Mysa app is installed and you have a Mysa account

  • Bluetooth can be enabled during pairing

  • The indoor unit is powered on for the pairing test
