Compatibility Quick Check — Mysa for Mini-Splits
Last updated: August 27, 2026
Use this quick check before buying Mysa for Mini-Splits. The most important details are the type of handheld remote your system uses and where you can place Mysa.
You are likely compatible if
Your system is a ductless mini-split heat pump, window air conditioner, or portable AC
It is controlled by an infrared (IR) handheld remote
The remote has a display that shows the complete state: target temperature, operating mode, and fan speed
You can place Mysa where it has a clear path to the indoor unit's IR receiver
A standard power outlet and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi reach the planned location
You still have the original remote for setup
You are likely incompatible if
The system only uses a wired wall controller
The remote uses radio frequency (RF), Bluetooth, or another non-IR control method
The remote has no screen, or only shows temperature rather than the complete state
Walls, furniture, curtains, or another obstruction block the path between Mysa and the indoor unit
Feature check
Mysa supports Heat, Cool, Dry, and Fan-only modes, plus fan speeds, swing, and vane positions where the original unit supports them. Features such as freeze protection, Follow Me/remote sensing, and changing the head-unit display are not supported.
For the complete remote and feature test, see the Mysa for Mini-Splits Compatibility Guide.
