Scheduling Issues
Last updated: July 29, 2026
If your thermostat isn't following its schedule as expected, this is almost always because another feature is taking priority over the schedule — not a bug. Here's the order of priority, highest to lowest:
Priority Order
Geofencing — takes precedence over everything else, including turning off modes and overriding schedules based on your phone's location
Smart Home Commands and Scenes — any command or scene set through Apple HomeKit, Google Home, or Amazon Alexa overrides your current Mysa settings
Shortcuts — an activated Shortcut (Home, Away, Vacation) changes the temperature setting and takes priority over the schedule
Zone Schedule — if the thermostat is part of a Zone, the Zone's schedule overrides its individual schedule
Thermostat Schedule — the device-level schedule is the last priority, and can be overridden by any of the above
Check This First
If you think your thermostat is deviating from its schedule, open the device in the app and tap the icon under the set temperature. This confirms the unit isn't stuck in Off or Hold mode — if it's in either of those, it won't follow the schedule until you return it to Follow Schedule.
Still Having Issues?
If you've confirmed the mode is correct and nothing higher in the priority order (geofencing, smart home scenes, shortcuts, zones) explains the deviation, contact our support team.
When reaching out, include:
The email associated with your Mysa app
The exact date and time the schedule wasn't followed
Any other details that might help troubleshoot
A photo of the back of the faceplate showing the unit's serial number
Your order number or proof of purchase
