Mysa for Mini-Splits cannot pair with RF remotes
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Mysa for Mini-Splits works with supported infrared (IR) remote-control signals. If your mini-split, heat pump, or AC uses an RF (radio frequency) remote only, Mysa cannot learn or send those commands.
How to tell this is the issue
- The Mysa app cannot find a matching code or says the signal is not compatible.
- The original remote or manufacturer documentation identifies the remote as RF, radio frequency, or non-infrared.
- The indoor unit does not respond to standard IR remote commands.
What to do next
If your system has a supported IR remote or IR receiver option, try pairing Mysa using that IR remote. If the system is RF-only, there is no alternate Mysa code set or workaround that will make Mysa for Mini-Splits compatible.
If you are not sure which remote type your system uses, contact Mysa Support with the unit model number and remote model number so we can help confirm compatibility.
