Last updated: October 24, 2026
Product: Mysa for Electric Baseboard Heaters Gen3
Quick start:
Set up Gen3 in the Mysa app.
In the app menu, tap Home Assistants.
Tap Mysa Baseboard V3 and select your Mysa.
Copy the Pairing Code. You can also keep the QR code on the screen.
In Apple Home, Google Home or Alexa, add a Matter device. Use the Pairing Code or scan the QR code.
Important: The Pairing Code and the QR code show only after you complete Gen3 setup in the Mysa app.
Matter is an open smart home standard. Gen3 is Matter only. It works with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant through Matter. It does not have the native Apple HomeKit integration or the Google Home and Alexa cloud integrations that V1, V2 and Lite use.
Before you start
You completed Gen3 setup in the Mysa app, and Gen3 is online.
Update the Mysa app to the latest version.
Gen3, your phone and your smart home hub are on the same Wi-Fi network. Do not use a guest network.
Platform requirements
Apple Home: the Home app on your iPhone or iPad. Update your iPhone or iPad to the latest software. To control Mysa when you are away from home, you need an Apple home hub (Apple TV or HomePod).
Google Home: the Google Home app and a Google account. You also need a Google hub that supports Matter, for example a Nest Hub or a Nest Mini.
Alexa: the Alexa app and an Amazon account. You also need an Echo device that supports Matter.
Choose your platform
Follow the steps for your platform:
To use Gen3 with more than one platform, see Using Matter with Multiple Smart Home Platforms for Gen3.
What you can do with Matter
Through Matter, you can see the current temperature, change the heating setpoint and set the mode (Heat or Off). You can also use voice control and platform automations. The voice commands and automations are different on each platform.
Use the Mysa app for schedules, heater type, temperature offset, geofencing, Zones and other Mysa features.
Troubleshooting
If Gen3 does not show in your smart home app or does not pair:
Make sure that Gen3 setup is complete in the Mysa app.
Make sure that Gen3 is online. Make sure that Gen3, your phone and your hub are on the same Wi-Fi network.
If you have a second router or a Wi-Fi extender, connect your phone to the same router as Gen3. Then try again.
Close the Mysa app fully and open it again.
Add Gen3 again in your smart home app with the same Pairing Code. You can use the Pairing Code from the Mysa app until Gen3 connects to its first platform.
If Gen3 is already connected to one platform, the Pairing Code from the Mysa app does not add a second platform. Get a sharing code from the first platform. See Using Matter with Multiple Smart Home Platforms for Gen3.
If you still cannot add Gen3, contact Mysa Support. Tell us which platform you use.
Good to know
Settings sync
When you change the setpoint or the mode in a smart home app, the change shows in the Mysa app. Changes in the Mysa app or on Gen3 show in your smart home apps. Gen3 has one setpoint and one mode. The most recent change is the one that Gen3 uses.
Reset removes the Matter connections
If you hold the up arrow and the down arrow on Gen3 until the countdown on the screen ends, Gen3 resets its Wi-Fi. Gen3 also loses all its Matter connections. Then you must set up Gen3 again in the Mysa app.
Before you do this, remove Gen3 from each smart home app. After setup, add Gen3 to each platform again. Then make your automations again.
