Does Mysa Gen3 use Thread for Matter?

Mysa Gen3 supports Matter over Wi-Fi. It is not a Thread-compatible device.

What this means

• You can pair Gen3 to supported smart home platforms through Matter using the Mysa app pairing flow.

• Gen3 still connects over Wi-Fi; it does not join a Thread mesh network.

• A Matter-compatible hub or controller may still be required by the smart home platform you use, but Gen3 itself communicates over Wi-Fi.

Is Thread support planned?

There are no current plans to enable Thread support for Mysa Gen3. Use the Matter over Wi-Fi setup instructions for Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, or another supported Matter platform.
