Pairing Mysa Baseboard 3 with Apple Home via Matter

This guide covers pairing your Mysa Baseboard 3 thermostat to Apple Home using Matter, what you can do once it is paired, Siri voice commands, and Apple Home–specific limitations. Before You Start

Your thermostat, the phone running the Mysa app, and your Apple Home hub must all be on the same Wi-Fi network. If any are on a different or guest network, pairing may fail or the thermostat may appear unresponsive.

  • Mysa Smart Thermostat for Electric Baseboard Heaters V3 / Baseboard 3 with the required Baseboard 3 firmware version, online in the Mysa app.

  • Mysa app (iOS or Android) 4.18 or later, signed in.

  • iPhone or iPad running iOS / iPadOS 16.2 or later.

  • A Home Hub — HomePod, HomePod mini, or Apple TV 4K. On iOS 18+ you can pair and control locally without a hub, but automations and remote access still require one. iPad is no longer supported as a Home Hub.

Step 1 — Make Sure Baseboard 3 Setup Is Complete

  1. Install and complete setup for your Baseboard 3 in the Mysa app.

  2. Open the Mysa app and make sure your Baseboard 3 is online and connected.

  3. Confirm the Matter QR code is available for your thermostat after setup is complete.

Important: For Baseboard 3, the Matter QR code is ready only after Mysa app setup is complete.

Step 2 — Add the Thermostat in Apple Home

  1. Open the Home app on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Tap the + button and choose Add Accessory.

  3. Scan the Matter QR code for your Baseboard 3, or choose the option to enter the setup code manually if available.

  4. Follow the Apple Home pairing flow.

  5. Choose the thermostat location when prompted, then tap Continue.

  6. Name the thermostat. If you have more than one Mysa, give each a unique name.

  7. Tap Done or View in Home. The thermostat tile now appears in Apple Home.

Siri Voice Commands

  • "Hey Siri, set the [room] thermostat to 22 degrees."

  • "Hey Siri, what is the temperature in the [room]?"

  • "Hey Siri, turn on heating in the [room]."

  • "Hey Siri, turn off the [room] thermostat."

Apple Home Limitations

These come from the Matter standard and Apple's implementation, not from a defect in your thermostat.

Baseboard 3 Is Heat-Only

Baseboard 3 supports Heat and Off through Matter. If Apple Home displays other modes, do not use them; unsupported mode commands should not be used.

Default Device Name May Not Be Unique

If you have more than one thermostat, rename each immediately after pairing to avoid confusion.

Device May Stay Online Longer After Wi-Fi Loss

Apple Home may continue showing the thermostat as available for a few minutes after it loses Wi-Fi. This is normal platform behaviour.

Re-Pairing After a Reset

Remove the accessory from Apple Home before re-pairing. Then pair again using the Matter setup flow for Baseboard 3.
