Setting Up Geofencing

Use geofencing to automatically run Away when everyone leaves and Home when someone arrives.

Steps

  1. Open the Mysa app

  2. From the home screen, tap the menu icon (top left) > Manage Mysa Homes > select your home > Geofencing

  3. Enter your home address or use the address from your profile. The map uses this address (latitude/longitude) for the geofence center; you may not see an adjustable map pin in the current app version.

  4. Adjust the boundary radius by dragging the edge of the circle

  5. Select which shortcut to trigger when leaving the boundary (or select No Action)

  6. Select which shortcut to trigger when entering the boundary (or select No Action)

  7. Confirm that location permission is allowed for the Mysa app on your phone

  8. Tap Save

Tip: You can set No Action for one direction if you only want geofencing to work one way. For example, trigger Away when you leave but let your schedule handle your return.

Recommended Boundary Size

  • Cities: Around 200 meters (650 feet)

  • Rural areas: Up to 1000 meters (3300 feet)

A larger boundary triggers earlier, giving your system more time to adjust before you arrive.
