Managing Your Email Preferences
You can control which Mysa emails you receive and unsubscribe from marketing messages. Email preferences are managed separately from both your store account and your app account.
> Important Email preferences are independent of your accounts. Changing your email preferences will not affect your ability to use your store account or control your thermostats.
Unsubscribing From Mysa Emails
The easiest way to manage your email preferences is to use the unsubscribe link in any Mysa email.
To unsubscribe from emails:
1. Open any email from Mysa (order confirmation, shipping notification, promotional email, etc.)
2. Scroll to the bottom of the email
3. Click the "Manage email preferences" or "Unsubscribe" link
4. You'll be taken to your email preferences page
5. Choose which emails you want to receive:
- Uncheck boxes for emails you don't want
- Leave checked the emails you do want to receive
6. Click Save preferences or Update settings
> Tip Every Mysa email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can manage all your preferences from any email.
Types of Emails You May Receive
Mysa sends different types of emails. Here's what you might receive:
Transactional Emails (Required)
These emails cannot be unsubscribed from — you'll receive them regardless of your preferences:
- Order confirmation
- Shipping confirmation and tracking updates
- Account password reset requests
- Account verification emails
- Important account notifications
- Payment receipts
> Note You cannot unsubscribe from transactional emails because they contain important information about your orders and account.
Promotional Emails (Optional)
You can choose to receive or unsubscribe from these:
- Product announcements
- New product launches
- Special sales and promotions
- Seasonal offers
- Exclusive discounts
- Product recommendations
- Newsletter
Product Update Emails (Optional)
You can choose to receive these:
- Thermostat firmware updates
- New features announcements
- Product tips and how-to guides
- System maintenance notifications
Managing Email Preferences by Email Type
To subscribe or unsubscribe from specific email types:
1. Click the "Manage email preferences" link in any Mysa email
2. On the preferences page, you'll see checkboxes for each email type
3. Check the boxes next to emails you want to receive
4. Uncheck the boxes for emails you don't want
5. Click Save or Update preferences
> Tip You can customize which types of emails you receive without unsubscribing from everything.
Unsubscribing by Email Category
Most preference pages let you select by category:
- Order & Shipping Updates: Notifications about your purchases (recommended to keep enabled)
- Product News: Announcements about new products and features
- Promotions: Sales, discounts, and special offers
- Tips & Guides: How-to content and product advice
- Account Updates: Changes to your account or password resets (cannot be disabled)
Changing Your Subscription Email Address
Your email preferences are based on the email address receiving the emails.
If you change your email address:
- Your preferences follow your email address
- You'll start receiving Mysa emails at your new address with your previous preference settings
- If you want to receive Mysa emails at a different address, contact support
To receive Mysa emails at a new email address:
1. Use the "Manage email preferences" link in a Mysa email
2. Update your email address on the preferences page (if available)
3. Or contact support at support@getmysa.com to request a change
Email Preferences Are Separate From Your Accounts
It's important to understand that email preferences work independently:
- Email list management is separate from your store account
- Email list management is separate from your app account
- Changing email preferences does NOT affect your store account access
- Changing email preferences does NOT affect your thermostat control
- You can receive no marketing emails and still use all Mysa services normally
> Example: If you unsubscribe from promotional emails, you can still:
> - Log into your store account at account.getmysa.com
> - Control your thermostats in the Mysa app
> - View your order history and tracking information
> - Access all your account features
Re-subscribing to Emails
If you unsubscribed and want to receive Mysa emails again:
1. Use the "Manage email preferences" link in any remaining Mysa email you receive
2. Or check your email for a transactional email (like a password reset request)
3. Click the preferences link and re-check the boxes for emails you want
4. Click Save preferences
If you've completely unsubscribed and aren't receiving any emails at all:
1. Contact support at support@getmysa.com
2. Let them know you want to re-subscribe
3. They can reactivate your email preferences
Troubleshooting Email Preferences
I don't see an unsubscribe link in my email:
- Check the very bottom of the email message
- Scroll down past the footer
- The link is usually in small text below the company address
The preferences link doesn't work:
- Copy the link from your email and paste it into your browser
- Try a different browser
- Contact support at support@getmysa.com
I'm still receiving emails I unsubscribed from:
- Wait 24–48 hours for changes to take effect
- Check that the emails are from Mysa (check the sender address)
- Spam filters might be moving emails to different folders
- Contact support if the issue persists
I unsubscribed but no longer receive ANY Mysa emails:
- You might have unsubscribed from all emails (including transactional)
- Visit your email preferences page again and check the boxes for emails you want
- Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping) will restart automatically
- Allow 24 hours for changes to take effect
I'm receiving emails for someone else's account:
- The emails are going to the wrong email address
- Contact support at support@getmysa.com with:
- The email address receiving the unwanted emails
- The Mysa email address/account name if you know it
- A copy of one of the unwanted emails

Email best practices:
- Regularly review which emails you're subscribed to
- Manage your preferences to avoid unwanted messages
- Use the "Manage email preferences" link — don't reply to marketing emails
- Never share your email preferences page link with others
