Freeze Protection
Freeze Protection helps prevent freezing conditions by automatically turning on heat when the ambient temperature drops to 7°C, or 45°F, even if the thermostat is set to Off.
This can be useful for cottages, vacation homes, rental properties, or any space where you want protection from freezing temperatures without actively heating the space all the time.
How It Works
When Freeze Protection is enabled, your Mysa monitors the room temperature. If the temperature drops to the freeze protection threshold, Mysa will turn on heat automatically.
The freeze protection temperature is fixed by the thermostat and cannot be changed.
How to Turn Freeze Protection On or Off
- Open the Mysa app and select your thermostat.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Tap Thermostat Configuration.
- Find Freeze Protection.
- Toggle Freeze Protection on or off.
Note: Freeze Protection only appears for compatible thermostat configurations and firmware. If you do not see this setting, your thermostat or current configuration may not support it.
