Ambient Temperature Offset
Temperature Offset
Temperature Offset lets you calibrate the temperature reading on your Mysa Smart Thermostat. If the temperature shown on your thermostat does not match the actual room temperature, you can apply an offset to correct it.
How It Works
The offset adjusts the thermostat's displayed temperature up or down by the amount you choose.
For example, if your thermostat reads 21°C but the actual room temperature is 22°C, setting the offset to +1°C will correct the displayed reading.
- Default: 0, no offset
- Range: -5°C to +5°C, or -9°F to +9°F
- Increments: 0.5°C steps, or 1°F steps
When to Use Temperature Offset
You may want to adjust the offset if:
- The thermostat is mounted near a heat source, sunny window, appliance, or other source of warmth
- The thermostat is on a drafty or exterior wall
- You compared the thermostat reading with a separate room thermometer and noticed a consistent difference
Tip: Use a standalone room thermometer placed at a comfortable height, away from direct heat, cold drafts, sunlight, or vents. After changing the offset, give the thermostat at least 15 minutes to settle at the updated reading.
How to Set Temperature Offset
- Open the Mysa app and select your thermostat.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Tap Thermostat Preferences.
- Tap Temperature Offset.
- Select the desired offset value.
The thermostat's displayed temperature will update to reflect the new offset.
Note: Temperature Offset requires Mysa app version 4.14 or later. If you do not see this option, update your Mysa app.
Important: Temperature Offset is not currently available on firmware v3 devices.
