Type of heater in the App- BaseboardUpdated a year ago
Mysa supports three main types of heaters: Baseboard, Fan-forced, and Radiant. This guide helps you understand which type to choose for your specific setup.
1. Baseboard Heaters
For electric baseboard heaters, choose the 'Baseboard' option. This setting is specifically designed to control Mysa's electric baseboard heaters effectively.
2. Fan-Forced Heaters
If you have electric fan-forced heaters or toe kick heaters, select 'Fan forced'. This setting tailors Mysa's operation to suit the unique characteristics of fan-forced heating systems.
3. Radiant Heating Systems
Select 'Radiant' for controlling electric radiant systems, such as radiant ceiling heaters. In this mode, Mysa activates only when the room temperature is 0.5°C (1°F) below the set temperature. Note: The 'Radiant' option is available on devices running Firmware 1.4.2 or newer. Devices not on the latest firmware will update automatically within three hours post-installation.
Fan-forced Cycle Timing
Here’s a breakdown of the cycle types:
Option | Period Length | Minimum On-Time | Maximum off Time | Maximum Cycles per Hour |
Short | 3 Minutes | 45 Seconds | 45 Seconds | 20 on + 20 off |
Medium | 4 Minutes | 60 Seconds | 60 Seconds | 15 on + 15 off |
Long | 6 Minutes | 90 Seconds | 90 Seconds | 10 on + 10 off |
If you're unsure about your system type, consult a professional or refer to your heating system’s documentation.
