In-Floor Temperature Sensor/ProbeUpdated a year ago

Purchasing Additional Temperature Sensors/Probes

  • Compatibility: Mysa In-Floor is compatible with a broad range of third-party sensors.
  • Specifications for Replacement: To match the included sensor, look for a 10K Ohm probe at 25°C, with a length of 15 ft.

Included Sensor with Mysa In-Floor

  • Standard Sensor: Mysa ships with a 15 ft (3m) 10k Ohm temperature sensor/probe, ideal for most installations.

Installing a Secondary Sensor

  • Recommendation: Many professionals advise installing an additional sensor during initial setup. This preemptive step can save significant time and effort in case of sensor failure.
  • Installation Tip: If opting for a secondary sensor, a 15 ft (3M) 10k Ohm sensor is recommended. It should be installed and the end tucked into the electrical box for future accessibility.

Pre-Installation of Floor Sensors

  • Early Installation: It's possible and advisable to install a 15 ft (3M) 10k Ohm sensor in anticipation of Mysa's arrival. This prepares the system for a quick and efficient setup.

Compatibility with Existing Sensors

  • Flexibility: Mysa In-Floor is designed to work with most existing in-floor sensors or probes.
  • Setup Process: During the setup, you'll select the resistance of your temperature sensor. Mysa will then calibrate its temperature readings based on this input. Additionally, the floor sensor resistance value can be adjusted from the thermostat’s settings.
