Wondering if Mysa is for you? Check out our Mysa compatibility tool

Mysa for In-Floor is tailored for compatibility with a wide range of electric in-floor heating mats. To ensure Mysa is the right fit for your system, consider the following criteria:

  1. Electric Heating System: Your system should be electric, not water-based.
  2. Line Voltage Thermostat: Ensure your existing thermostat is line voltage (120V or 240V).
  3. Circuit Breaker Limitations: The in-floor heating circuit breaker should not exceed 20 Amps.
  4. Load Capacity: The total load of connected heating mats must be under 16 Amps or 1900 watts at 120V and 3800 watts at 240V.
  5. Floor Sensor Requirement: A floor sensor must be already installed or plan to install Mysa's included sensor.
  6. Non-GFCI Circuit: The heating mat and thermostat should be installed on a non-GFCI protected circuit.

Compatible Heating Mats

Mysa is compatible with in-floor electric heating mats that meet the GFCI A (5 mA) requirements and are under 16A on a 20A breaker panel.

Some compatible brands include Warmly Yours, Warm Feet, Schluter Ditra, True Comfort, Warm Tiles, Sun Touch, Quiet Warmth, Ideal Heat, and Thermosoft.

This list is not exhaustive, and other compatible mats are available.

Older Systems Compatibility

Mysa can integrate with older in-floor heating systems, provided they meet the energy requirements and have an existing sensor wire with a resistance of 5k Ohm or above.

Technical Specifications

  • Floor Sensor: Includes a 10kohm sensor (16 feet / 5 m length), compatible with existing sensors between 5kohm to 40kohm.
  • Power & Voltage: 1900 W max at 120V / 3800 W max at 240V.
  • Current: Maximum of 16 A.
  • Installation: Fits standard size gang box and includes Class A GFCI (5 mA Level).

Wattage Control and Safety

Mysa for In-Floor can control up to 16 Amps on a 20 Amp breaker; this equates to a maximum of 3800 watts at 240V and 1900 watts at 120V, both at a frequency of 60 Hz. Exceeding these limits can cause damage to the thermostat, floor, and heating mat, which is not covered under warranty.

It's advisable to consult with an electrician to verify Mysa's compatibility with your specific system.
