Changing the settings for the ThermostatUpdated 10 months ago

Changes to the settings of the Mysa thermostat can be done on the  Mysa App.

How do I change from Celsius to Fahrenheit?

Mysa thermostats are set to display temperatures in Celsius by default. For users who prefer Fahrenheit, the Mysa App provides an easy way to switch between temperature units.

To do this simply:

  • Select the thermostat that you wish to adjust

  • Navigate to Settings from the top right corner

  • Scroll down to Format

  • Select C or F

Can I lock the buttons on Mysa?

To ensure your desired temperature settings remain constant, Mysa offers a feature that allows you to lock the thermostat's faceplate buttons directly from the Mysa App. This functionality is particularly useful in preventing unauthorized or accidental adjustments to your heating settings.

To do this simply:

  • Select the thermostat that you wish to adjust

  • Navigate to Settings from the top right corner

  • Scroll down to Button Control,

  • Select Unlocked or Locked

Can I set a maximum and minimum temperature for my thermostat?

The Mysa App  includes a valuable feature for property owners and energy-conscious users: the ability to set minimum and maximum temperature limits. This functionality prevents manual adjustments on the thermostat that exceed these predefined settings, offering a strategic advantage for landlords and those looking to optimize energy usage.

To do this simply:

  • Select the thermostat that you wish to adjust

  • Navigate to Settings from the top right corner

  • Scroll down to Setpoint Control,

  • Tap on the Lowest and/or the Highest and select your desired temperature.

How do I turn off the display or adjust the brightness of the thermostat?

Managing the display brightness of your Mysa thermostat can enhance both its functionality and your comfort. The Mysa App offers a feature to adjust the inactive brightness level to 0%, effectively turning off the display when not in use. Upon touch, the display reactivates to the preset active brightness level, allowing for easy interaction and visibility when needed.

To do this simply:

  • Select the thermostat that you wish to adjust

  • Navigate to Settings from the top right corner

  • Scroll down to Thermostat Display

  • Move the slider on the left to change your sleep brightness and the slider on the right for the wake brightness.

Auto Brightness and Proximity Sense

  • Auto Brightness

    • The new Ambient Light Sensor within the Mysa thermostat has the ability to detect the brightness or darkness of your room. Enabling this feature will automatically adjust the brightness of your display by 20% based on the brightness of the room.

  • Proximity Sense

    • The new Proximity Sensor will be able to detect when your hand approaches the Mysa thermostat. Enabling this feature will change the displays brightness to the active brightness when you approach the device.

Can I set my temperature to half degrees?

  • In the Mysa App: The temperature can be displayed in decimal points, allowing for precise control and monitoring within the app.

  • On the Thermostat Unit: The displayed temperature rounds to the nearest whole number. This design choice simplifies the display for ease of reading and quick reference.

Fahrenheit Scale Limitation:

  • Unlike the Celsius scale, the Fahrenheit temperature setting does not offer the same level of precision in the app—it is only possible to display and adjust temperatures in whole numbers both in the app and on the thermostat display.

Which type of heater should I select in the Mysa app?

There are three types of heater that you can select in the Mysa app.

  1. Baseboard

    • This type is recommended for Mysa's controlling electric baseboard heaters.

  2. Fan-Forced

    • This type is recommended for Mysa's controlling electric fan-forced heaters or toe kick heaters.

  3. Radiant

    • This type should be selected if your Mysa is controlling an electric radiant system, such as radiant ceiling heaters. In this mode, Mysa will only turn on when the room temperature falls to 0.5 Degrees Celsius (1° Degree Fahrenheit), less than the set temperature.

Please note that 'Radiant' control will only appear on Mysa's running Firmware 1.4.2 or newer. If your thermostat is not on the latest Firmware it should update about three hours after installation.
