Can the Mysa Smart Thermostat replace a Gree mini-split wired controller?

Why it is not directly compatible

Some Gree mini-split systems use proprietary communicating thermostats/controllers. Even if the controller has several low-voltage wires, those wires are not the same as standard 24 V thermostat terminals such as R, C, Y, W, and G.

Because of this, Mysa should not be connected directly to those proprietary controller wires.

What may be required

The system may need an OEM 24 V adapter or interface designed for that Gree equipment before any standard low-voltage thermostat can be considered.

This is not a self-install path. You should consult the original installing contractor or a qualified HVAC professional to confirm whether an OEM adapter is available and how it should be installed for their specific Gree model.

Support guidance

• Do not wire Mysa directly to a proprietary Gree wired controller harness.

• Confirm the exact outdoor/indoor unit model and existing controller model with your installer.

• If the installer confirms a compatible OEM 24 V adapter is installed and exposes standard thermostat terminals, then compatibility can be reviewed again using the normal Mysa Smart Thermostat wiring requirements.
