Incompatible Systems

Mysa for Mini-Splits does not work with the following control types and setups.

Wired-controller-only systems

Mysa sends infrared commands. A system with only a wired wall controller and no compatible IR remote cannot receive those commands.

RF or Bluetooth remotes

The original remote must use infrared. Radio-frequency and Bluetooth remotes are not compatible with Mysa's IR control.

Button-only remotes

A remote with no display usually sends incremental commands. Mysa needs a full-state command containing the complete temperature, mode, and fan setting.

Temperature-only displays

A screen that shows only the target temperature is not enough. The remote should also show the operating mode and fan speed.

Blocked infrared path

Do not use Mysa where walls, furniture, curtains, or another obstruction prevent its infrared signal from reaching the indoor unit.

Unsupported remote features

Mysa does not reproduce every button on every remote. Freeze protection, low-temperature heat-pump modes, Follow Me/I-Feel remote sensing, Turbo/Powerful/Jet, Eco, timers, and changing the head-unit display are examples of features that may require the original remote.
