Can Mysa for In-Floor Heating control a floor heater and wall heater together?

Last updated: August 19, 2026

No. Mysa for In-Floor Heating should not be used to control an electric floor-heating system and a wall heater, baseboard heater, or similar room heater from the same thermostat.

Mysa for In-Floor Heating is designed and tested to directly control one compatible electric in-floor heating zone within the product voltage and load limits. Even if the combined wattage appears to be under the thermostat maximum, mixing a floor-heating load with a separate wall or baseboard heater is not a supported installation.

Why this setup is not recommended

  • The thermostat was designed for compatible electric in-floor heating systems, not mixed heater types on one control.

  • The built-in GFCI protection is intended for the in-floor heating circuit. Adding another heater type may cause nuisance GFCI trips or unsupported behavior.

  • Floor heating and wall/baseboard heating can respond differently, which may lead to poor comfort or inefficient control.

What to recommend instead

  • Use one Mysa for In-Floor Heating thermostat for each compatible electric in-floor heating zone.

  • Use the correct Mysa for Baseboards model for compatible electric wall heaters, baseboards, convectors, or fan-forced heaters.

  • If a customer has a custom wiring plan, large load, relay, contactor, or mixed heater setup, they should have a qualified electrician review the full design before installation.
