Shortcuts Overview

Shortcuts let you apply preset settings to one or more Mysa thermostats with a single tap in the Mysa app.

Mysa includes three shortcuts:

  • Home — comfortable settings when you are home

  • Away — energy-saving settings when you leave

  • Vacation — lower-occupancy settings for longer trips

Each shortcut can include commands for the thermostats in the current Home. When you activate a shortcut, those commands run together.

When to use each shortcut

  • Home — you arrive earlier than your schedule expects, or you want your comfort temperature right away

  • Away — you leave for the day and want a quick energy-saving setback

  • Vacation — you will be gone longer and want a deeper energy-saving setting

Exact options can vary by product. For example, mini-split shortcuts may also store mode and fan speed.

Shortcuts vs. Schedules (why Home and Away show the same schedule)

The Home, Away, and Vacation buttons at the top of the Mysa app home screen are one-tap temperature shortcuts (holds), not separate weekly schedule tabs.

  • Each thermostat has one active 7-day schedule at a time.

  • If you tap Home in the header, edit a thermostat's Schedule (times, temperatures, Copy Days, and Save), and then tap Away, opening the thermostat's Schedule screen will still show that same 7-day schedule.

Depending on what you want to set up, use one of these three options:

  1. Daily Home and Away times in your regular routine: Build both your home and away temperatures as time events inside the thermostat's single weekly Schedule (for example: Wake at 7:00 AM, Leave/Away setback at 9:00 AM, Return/Home at 5:00 PM, and Sleep at 10:30 PM), then copy across the days you want and tap Save.

  2. One-tap or geofenced temperature override when you leave: Configure a single preset temperature for Home, Away, and Vacation in Shortcuts (on app 4.21.0 or later, tap Settings > Shortcuts; on earlier versions, open the side menu > Manage Homes > Shortcuts). Tapping a shortcut temporarily overrides the weekly schedule until the hold ends or you switch back to Follow Schedule.

  3. Two separate full-week schedules you can switch between: On supported models (Mysa for Baseboards V2, Gen3, In-Floor, and AC; not supported on Mysa LITE), use Saved Schedules (tap Schedules at the bottom of the home screen on app 4.21.0+, or open a thermostat > Schedule) to save multiple named 7-day schedules and apply whichever one you want active.
