Google Home Setup — Mysa for In-Floor Heating
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Add your Mysa for In-Floor Heating to Google Home to control your floor heating with Google Assistant voice commands and create custom routines for your home.
Requirements
To use Mysa for In-Floor with Google Home, you'll need:
Google Home device — Google Home, Home Mini, Home Max, or any Google Assistant-enabled device
Google Home app — Installed on your smartphone or tablet (iOS or Android)
Mysa account — Active Mysa account with your In-Floor thermostat already set up in the Mysa app
Google Account — Required to link services and control devices remotely
2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection — Your Mysa and Google Home device must be on the same Wi-Fi network
Tip: A Google Home device or Nest Hub lets you control and monitor your thermostat from anywhere. Make sure your Google account is the same one used on your Google Home device.
Link Mysa to Google Home App
Follow these steps to connect your Mysa account to Google Home:
Open the Google Home app on your phone or tablet
Tap the + icon in the top right corner
Tap Set up device
Select Link apps or services from the list
Search for "Mysa" in the search bar
Tap the Mysa result
You'll be directed to sign in with your Mysa credentials
Enter your Mysa email address and password
Tap Sign In
Grant Google Home permission to access your Mysa account
Return to the Google Home app — your devices should now appear
Note: If devices don't appear immediately, wait 30 seconds and refresh the app, or close and reopen the Google Home app.
Assign Thermostats to Rooms
Properly assigning rooms makes voice commands more natural and helps Google Assistant respond accurately:
In the Google Home app, open the Home tab
Find your Mysa In-Floor thermostat in the device list
Tap and hold the thermostat tile
Tap the settings gear icon
Tap Room assignment or Assign to a room
Select the room where your thermostat is located (e.g., "Bathroom," "Bedroom," "Living Room")
Tap Save or Assign
Tip: Use specific room names like "Master Bedroom" or "Downstairs Bathroom" rather than just "Bedroom" if you have multiple thermostats in different rooms.
Google Assistant Voice Commands
Command | What happens |
|---|---|
"Hey Google, set the bathroom floor to 25 degrees" | Sets bathroom thermostat to 25°C |
"Hey Google, what's the bathroom floor temperature?" | Reports current floor temperature |
"Hey Google, increase the bedroom floor heat" | Raises bedroom thermostat setpoint |
"Hey Google, turn on the living room floor heating" | Enables living room thermostat |
"Hey Google, turn off the kitchen floor heat" | Sets kitchen thermostat to lowest setpoint |
"Hey Google, make the hallway warmer" | Increases hallway thermostat temperature |
"Hey Google, decrease the basement floor heat" | Lowers basement thermostat setpoint |
Note: Use the exact room name you assigned during setup. Google Assistant responds best when you include the room name and temperature value.
Create Custom Routines
Beyond voice commands, you can create routines to automate your floor heating:
Open the Google Home app
Tap your profile icon in the top right
Tap Assistant settings
Scroll down and tap Routines
Tap Create routine (+ icon)
Give your routine a name (e.g., "Morning Floor Heat")
Set a trigger (time, phrase, or schedule)
Tap Add action
Search for your Mysa thermostat
Select the action (set temperature, turn on/off)
Choose your target temperature
Tap Save
Example routines:
"Good morning" phrase → sets bathroom floor to 24°C and bedroom to 22°C
Weekday at 6:00 AM → automatically set basement floor to 20°C
"Bedtime" phrase → sets all floor thermostats to 18°C
When you arrive home → restores previous temperature settings
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
Can't link Mysa account to Google Home
Verify you're using the correct Mysa account credentials
Check that your Mysa account is active and in good standing
Confirm you're using the same Google account that's set up on your Google Home device
Clear the Google Home app cache and try again
Sign out of your Google account in the app and sign back in
Devices won't appear or sync
Ensure your Mysa thermostat is connected to Wi-Fi and shows as "Online" in the Mysa app
Confirm both your Google Home device and Mysa are on the same 2.4 GHz network
Unlink Mysa from Google Home and re-link it:
- In Google Home app, go to Settings → Services → Mysa → Unlink - Wait 30 seconds, then re-link by following the "Link Mysa to Google Home App" steps above
Restart your Google Home device and Mysa thermostat (wait 2 minutes)
Voice commands aren't working
Verify the thermostat is assigned to a room in Google Home app
Confirm the thermostat shows as "Online" in Google Home
Use the exact room name in your voice command
Try saying the command more clearly (e.g., "Set bathroom floor to 23 degrees")
Check the Google Home app activity log to see if Google is hearing your commands correctly
Google Assistant can't control the thermostat
Make sure the Mysa account link is still active (check Services in Assistant settings)
Verify your Mysa thermostat is showing in the Google Home app device list
Test controlling the thermostat manually from the Google Home app to confirm it's responsive
Re-authorize the Mysa service: Unlink and re-link following the troubleshooting steps above
Routines aren't triggering
Confirm the thermostat is listed as available when setting up the routine action
Verify the thermostat shows as "Online" in the Google Home app
Test the routine manually by tapping "Run" in the routine details
Make sure the trigger is set correctly (voice phrase, time, or schedule)
Check that your Google Home device is online and has an active connection
Temperature commands get different results than expected
Confirm you're using Celsius (°C) in your commands — Google Home uses the unit set in your device settings
Try rephrasing the command: Instead of "Make the bathroom warmer," say "Set the bathroom to 24 degrees"
Check the current temperature in the Mysa app to understand what command is needed
Some phrases like "turn up the heat" may not work — use specific temperature values instead
