Amazon Alexa Setup — Mysa for In-Floor Heating
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Add your Mysa for In-Floor Heating to Amazon Alexa to control your floor heating with voice commands and create smart routines for your home.
Requirements
To use Mysa for In-Floor with Amazon Alexa, you'll need:
Alexa device — Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, or any other Alexa-enabled device
Alexa app — Installed on your smartphone or tablet (iOS or Android)
Mysa account — Active Mysa account with your In-Floor thermostat already set up in the Mysa app
Mysa skill for Alexa — Free skill available in the Alexa app skill store
2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection — Your Mysa and Alexa device must be on the same Wi-Fi network
Tip: Make sure your Mysa thermostat is already connected to Wi-Fi and showing as "Online" in the Mysa app before enabling the Alexa skill.
Enable the Mysa Skill in Alexa App
Follow these steps to enable the Mysa skill and connect your thermostat:
Open the Alexa app on your phone or tablet
Tap the More icon (three horizontal lines) at the bottom right
Select Skills & Games
Tap the search icon and search for "Mysa"
Select the Mysa skill in the search results
Tap Enable to Use
You'll be directed to sign in with your Mysa account (a new window may open)
Note: If you're not automatically signed in, enter your Mysa email address and password when prompted.
Link Your Mysa Account to Alexa
After enabling the skill, you'll authorize Alexa to access your Mysa account:
On the Mysa authorization screen, enter your Mysa email address
Enter your Mysa password
Tap Sign In
Review the permissions requested by Alexa
Tap Authorize to grant access
You should see a confirmation message: "Mysa Skill is now linked"
Return to the Alexa app
Important: This authorization allows Alexa to control only the thermostats you own. Your login credentials are not stored by Alexa — only a secure token is saved.
Discover Your Devices
After linking your account, Alexa needs to discover your Mysa thermostat:
In the Alexa app, go back to the Mysa skill page
Tap Discover Devices (or wait for automatic discovery)
Alexa will search for all Mysa thermostats connected to your account
Your In-Floor thermostat will appear in the Mysa device list
Assign each thermostat to a room for easier voice control (e.g., "Bathroom," "Bedroom")
Tip: Naming your thermostat by room makes voice commands more natural. For example, if you name it "Bathroom Floor," you can say "Alexa, set the bathroom floor to 25 degrees."
Alexa Voice Command Examples
Command | What happens |
|---|---|
"Alexa, set the bathroom floor to 25 degrees" | Sets bathroom thermostat to 25°C |
"Alexa, increase the bedroom floor temperature" | Raises bedroom thermostat setpoint by 1°C |
"Alexa, turn off the kitchen floor heating" | Sets kitchen thermostat to lowest setpoint |
"Alexa, what's the bathroom floor temperature?" | Reports current temperature |
"Alexa, decrease the hallway floor heat" | Lowers hallway thermostat setpoint |
"Alexa, make the living room warmer" | Increases living room thermostat |
Note: Use the room name you assigned during device discovery. The thermostat responds best to commands that include the room name and temperature value.
Create Smart Routines
Beyond voice commands, you can create Alexa routines to automate your floor heating:
Open the Alexa app
Tap More then Routines
Tap Create Routine (+ icon)
Give your routine a name (e.g., "Morning Floor Heat")
Add a trigger (time, Alexa phrase, or smart home device event)
Add an action: Search for your Mysa thermostat and select it
Choose the action (set temperature, turn on/off)
Save your routine
Example routines:
"Alexa, good morning" → sets bathroom floor to 24°C and bedroom floor to 22°C
Time-based: Every weekday at 6:00 AM → set basement floor to 20°C
"Movie time" → set living room floor to 21°C and dim lights
