How to reconnect a Mysa thermostat that won't pair or has gone offline

Last updated: July 24, 2026

If your Mysa thermostat has gone offline or won't pair to the app, follow these steps to reconnect it. Start with a reset and re-pair — only delete the device from the app if reconnecting does not work.

Step 1: Reset the thermostat

On the thermostat, press and hold the up and down arrows together for 10 seconds until the countdown is complete. You should see a smiley face when the reset is finished.

Wait 10–15 seconds for the pairing symbol (Bluetooth icon or inverted triangle) to appear on the display.

Step 2: Re-pair the device

Go back into the Mysa app, select Add Device (or Add Mysa), and follow the prompts to complete the setup.

Important requirements for successful pairing

  • Your phone must be connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network during pairing

  • Turn off cellular data and VPN during the pairing process

  • Ensure Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled on your phone

  • Stay close to the thermostat during setup

  • Physical access to the thermostat is required - these steps cannot be completed remotely

Last resort: Delete the device, then reset and re-pair

Only if the thermostat still won't reconnect after Steps 1–2 (for example, it still appears in the app but won't respond, or re-pairing fails), delete it from the app and try again:

  1. Open the Mysa app, select the offline device, go to Settings, and delete the device.

  2. Reset the thermostat again (hold the up and down arrows for 10 seconds until the smiley face appears).

  3. Wait for the pairing symbol, then use Add Device / Add Mysa to re-pair.

If you're still having trouble

If the thermostat still won't connect after following these steps, try running the Network Diagnostics tool in the Mysa app under Get Help → Network Diagnostics to check for connectivity issues.
