How to Remove a Shared User or Leave a Home
Last updated: August 25, 2026
Removing a shared user (or leaving a shared Home) only ends app access. It does not delete the owner’s account, unpair thermostats, or transfer ownership.
Owner — remove someone
Sign in as the primary user.
Open Account > Sharing and tap Remove, or open Manage Mysa Homes > [Home] > Share Access, select the person, and tap Remove User (Home Settings > Shared Users on some products).
They lose access to every thermostat in that Home immediately.
Shared users cannot remove other people. Those controls fail silently or error on a shared login.
Shared user — leave
On current app versions: Account > Sharing > Leave next to that Home.
On some product screens Leave is not shown. Ask the owner to remove you from Share Access instead.
If the Home itself should change owners
The primary user removes each thermostat (or deletes the Home), then the new owner pairs the devices. Do not use sharing to hand over a property. See Sharing Won’t Transfer a Used Thermostat if the previous owner is gone.
