Zone Not Following the Same Temperature or Schedule

Last updated: August 20, 2026

Thermostats in a zone should share the same setpoint and the same schedule. If one device drifts, check whether the change was made on the zone or on a single thermostat.

Change the Zone, Not One Tile

  • Adjust temperature, schedule, or a hold from the zone so every included thermostat updates

  • A change on one thermostat tile can look like the zone “broke” when only that device moved

Holds, Shortcuts, and Geofencing

  • A hold on one device can temporarily split it from the rest of the zone

  • Home / Away / Vacation shortcuts apply the shortcut settings. If those settings differ from the zone schedule, the zone will look out of sync until the shortcut or hold ends

  • Geofencing can trigger Away or Home for the Home, which then changes the zone with everyone else

Offline Devices

If one thermostat is offline, it will not receive the zone change until it reconnects. Fix Wi-Fi first, then set the zone temperature again.

After Recreating a Zone

A new zone starts from the devices you selected. Re-apply the schedule if it did not carry over from the deleted zone.
