Removing Your Mysa

Whether you're moving, selling, or troubleshooting, here's how to remove your Mysa for Mini-Splits.

Removing from Your Account

To remove a Mysa from your account (but keep it installed):

  1. Open the Mysa app
  2. Tap the thermostat you want to remove
  3. Tap Settings (gear icon)
  4. Scroll down and tap Remove Device
  5. Confirm removal

The device is now removed from your account and can be paired to a new account.

Factory Reset

To completely reset Mysa to factory settings:

  1. Press and hold both the Mode and Fan buttons on the side of Mysa
  2. Hold until the display resets
  3. Mysa is now in factory state

After a factory reset, the device needs to be paired again to any account.

Physical Removal

Wall-mounted:

  1. Gently pull Mysa away from the wall
  2. If using adhesive strips, pull slowly to avoid wall damage
  3. Remove any adhesive residue with a gentle cleaner

Tabletop:

  1. Unplug the USB cable
  2. Remove Mysa from the stand

Transferring to a New Owner

If selling or giving away your Mysa:

  1. Remove the device from your account (steps above)
  2. Perform a factory reset
  3. Give the new owner:

- The device - Power adapter and USB cable - Any accessories (stand, mounting strips) - HomeKit code (if applicable)

The new owner can then pair it to their own account.

Smart Home Cleanup

If you connected Mysa to smart home platforms, remove it there too:

  • HomeKit: Home app > long-press device > Remove Accessory
  • Alexa: Alexa app > Devices > find Mysa > delete
  • Google Home: Google Home app > device > Settings > Remove device
