HomeKit Automations Not Working — Mysa for In-Floor Heating

Last updated: June 4, 2026

Applies to: Mysa for Electric In-Floor Heating

Does not apply to the Mysa Smart Thermostat (24V central HVAC). That product uses a different HomeKit integration path. If you have a Smart Thermostat, use the guides in the Mysa Smart Thermostat collection instead.

Also see the other product guides if you have multiple Mysa devices:

If your device responds to manual temperature changes in the Apple Home app but HomeKit automations do not run, this is often caused by temperature rounding in HomeKit automations.

Quick solution

Change automation target temperatures to half-degree values (for example, 22.5°C instead of 23°C, or 19.5°F offsets where applicable). Whole-number setpoints can prevent automations from firing on some Mysa models.

If the quick solution does not work

Try these steps in order:

1. Reset your HomeKit connection

  • Remove the affected Mysa for In-Floor Heating from the Home app.

  • On the thermostat, press and hold the up and down arrows until the on-screen countdown finishes.

  • Add the thermostat back in the Apple Home app and recreate your automations.

2. Check for schedule conflicts

  • Temporarily disable schedules in the Mysa app.

  • Make sure the device is not in Hold during the automation window.

3. Reset your Home hub

  • Restart the Apple TV, HomePod, or iPad that acts as your home hub.

  • In the Home app, confirm it is the primary home hub.

4. Test a simple automation

  • Create one automation affecting a single Mysa device.

  • Use a half-degree target temperature (for example, 21.5°C).

  • Confirm whether the issue affects one room or every Mysa device.
