Hold Won’t End or Schedule Seems Ignored

Last updated: September 2, 2026

A hold overrides the weekly schedule until it expires or you cancel it. If the thermostat “won’t follow the schedule,” a hold is the first thing to check — it may be doing what you asked.

Hold options

  • Follow Schedule — cancels the hold and returns to the weekly routine

  • Until next scheduled event — holds until the next schedule change

  • Until a specific time (or date and time) — you choose when the schedule resumes

  • Indefinitely / Hold Temperature — stays until you change it manually

If Follow Schedule still seems ignored

  1. Open Schedule and confirm events exist for today, with the timezone correct in device settings.

  2. A shortcut (Home / Away / Vacation) or geofencing can apply another hold after you resume.

  3. Zone schedules override the individual thermostat. Adjust the zone.

  4. Smart Early-On (V2 and Mysa Smart Thermostat; not Lite) can start heating before the scheduled clock time so the room is ready on time — that is not a broken hold.

  5. Shared users may not be able to save a new schedule. They can still cancel a hold on the control screen on most products; ask the owner if Save Schedule does nothing.
